Holly was such a pleasure to work with and what a great wardrobe too! We could have shot for days! Holly wanted to update her portfolio and I had the honor of being her photographer! We ran around Santa Barbara, went to the harbor and wound up at the beach.

Well it’s about time I did family portraits for my brother’s family and what a better time than the holidays! Rolando, Sande, Sarah and Jordan are the Santa Barbara Mias and I also have another brother and his family on the east coast in Baltimore. It means so much to me to have family so close, I don’t know what I’d do without them.
I can’t even say enough about my nieces and nephews. Rachel and Ben are on the east coast and Sarah and Jordan are close enough to take out and spoil. I love these kids more than anything!

I had a ton of fun shooting Matina’s Ponderosa High School
Only in California do you run into a regular banjo and fiddle get together and a hoola hoop get together in the same day at the same park. Every Wednesday at 5pm, a group of people get together and have a kinda blue-grass jam session. People would show up walking or on a bicycle with their instruments, meet up with good friends and then just start jammin… way cool. On the other side of the park, every Wednesday at 5pm, people would show up and have a little picnic, pull out their hoops or spin balls and would just go to town! Again, way cool.
Matina did a little bit of everything yesterday, sat with the fiddlers, hula’d with the hula hoopers, played in the playground on the swings, ran in the surf, played with dogs on the beach, skateboarded, ate pizza and ice cream and was also a rockin model!

The Santa Barbara Mias had dinner with the Katsiouleris family tonight. We had the most incredible Greek feast and I’m still feeling 5 months pregnant and it’s been 6 hours since I had dinner! We always have so much fun with them and tonight was no different… as my sister in law puts it, “The circus is on fire!”.
Other than the great company and the amazing feast that Vivi put together, we had Greek coffee and I had my cup read
Here are some favs from the night of us having some fun! Aren’t Ro and Bob so cute together!!
Here’s a picture of Bob reading my cup!
Here’s my cup! If anyone knows how to read cups, please take a look at this and if you can, I’d love to hear what you have to say!Santa Barbara Portrait Photographer cup reading 1 Comment »

I totally forgot about this picture but when I was shooting Mike Fine yesterday, I noticed out of the corner of my eye that this adorable little girl was fascinated by us and was watching from the other side of this huge water fountain. She’s so cute and I just had to post this picture of her. She had such a curious face but the second I turned my camera at her she gave me this face! It’s like she thought… “Doh! I’m busted!”Santa Barbara Portrait Photographer Santa Barbara Wedding Photographer Leave A Comment »

I’m super excited about the wedding of Stefanie and Gil for so many reasons, I don’t even know where to start. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, but the number one reason I love being a wedding photographer is for the people I meet, work with and become friends with. There are so many amazing couples that I’ve shot weddings for and are now my friends. I see babies come and families grow, I absolutely love it!
Stefanie and Gil treat me like one of their special guests and I haven’t even met them in person yet! From all of the correspondence I’ve gotten from their guests and friends, this is going to be an amazing gathering of friends and family. Here’s a fun fact… Stefanie, aka Fawni
I will be shooting their wedding on the island of Capri in Italy at the JK CapriTatler Travel Guide 2008
Stefanie and Gil are also excited because Your Wedding Day Magazine

Every once in a while, I get to keep the kids with me over night and it’s called “Camp UR”, which stands for camp uncle Ricky. I love having them over, they’re so much fun. Well, they’re really into skateboarding so here are some pics of them being goofy on their boards.
What’s so great about these kids is that they are best friends. They get along so well and never…. well I guess I shouldn’t say never, but very rarely fight. I love these kids!Santa Barbara Portrait Photographer Santa Barbara Wedding Photography Leave A Comment »
I had the honor of doing a portrait session for the Bulov family this past weekend, right on Rincon Beach just south of Santa Barbara. I’ve known Mark and his wife Amanda for almost 9 years now. They moved away and just recently moved back to Santa Barbara so when he gave me a call and asked if I was available to photograph their family reunion, I said of course; I would’ve moved mountains to be available. My good friend Karen
